From 2008 to 2014 I was Director of Hordaland Art Centre, and for five years we published a retrospective catalogue documenting the previous year programme. (2009-catalogue published in January 2010 etc.) The catalogues were handed out for free at the Art Centre, and could be downloaded from the Art Centre's web page.

Publishing these catalogues was a way to create another space-time for the programme. At the same time as it was a chronological presentation of a number of exhibitions, it also established a virtual space to look at every year as one larger exhibition created and curated together by a number of people. The humble size of the Art Centre's exhibition space would only accomodate projects of a certain size, while the printed format of the catalogues extended the space to experience the programmes and the discussions they proposed in a different way.

The content was visual documentation of each exhibition with their accompanying texts (commissioned from a wide variety of professionals from all fields). Each year a 'witness' was invited to take part in the Art Centre's activities as part of the audience and to write a 'witness report' to be published in the Retrospective catalogue. The 2009 and 2010-editions were designed by Ole Kristian Øye/Klipp og Lim Media AS, while the 2011, 2012 and 2013-editions were designed by Grandpeople.
